Movement Joint Profiles

The movement joint profiles are a PVC expansion joint with interchangeable PVC/rubber inserts. We are available in 3 standard colours: grey, beige, black etc. for the manufacture of expansion joints in tiled, marble or granite floors and any floor where glue/adhesive is laid with a thickness of 8 to 20 mm. The special structure of the joints is designed to protect the corners of the tiles, and its high strength withstands frequent pedestrian and vehicle (forklift-pallet truck-car) traffic. Seams must be level with the ground or 0.5-1 mm below the ground and never higher than the ground. High resistance to heavy loads and frequent pallet truck and lift truck traffic.

Why use movement joint profiles?

1. Ceramic, granite, porcelain, stone, glass ceramic, concrete and marble tile, and terrazzo flooring applications require thermal expansion joint profiles to absorb natural movements. Temperature differences cause moisture or moisture coatings to expand and contract, so all tiles shrink as they dry and cool.

2. Dynamic structural loads can cause vibration and large movements in the application. If expansion joints are not used in tile, ceramic, granite or marble applications, internal stresses caused by expansion or internal contraction can cause many problems such as visible cracks and breakage. Therefore, joint design is extremely important to the service life of the coating.
